Unicom has developed a new concept of assembly line applied to the motorcycle sector and car components.
The line is constituted by a towing chain running under the floor and connected to the trolleys of the line. The trolleys on which the motorcycle is composed can change the elevation of the work desk in function of the work stations.
Each trolley is equipped with a pneumatic elevator table. At the work stations where the elevation of the table is foreseen, the worker can change its height with local rapid pneumatic connections.
This solution allows the maintenance of the work area extremely free from any source of tripping or impediment. The operator can therefore carry out a 360 ° assembly around the trolley without physical barriers made by the traditional lines as well as to stay in an ergonomic position regardless of the height of the component installation point.
The trolley can be equipped on-board with special tool-boxes.
The closed circuit for the development of the line can be opened by means of the burial of a section of line to allow thence the passage of the trolleys under the floor. In this configuration it is possible to insert assembly materials into the oval line using forklifts.
